Halo:Reach-Character Silhouettes Identified
Bungie Studios is working on yet another conflict involving the insidious Covenant species.
ODST takes players through a journey that steps beyond the boundaries of a Spartan and showcases the vulnerability of human race sans the comfort of the MJOLNIR armor system, the other titled “Reach” takes places during the dawn of the covenant war.
Besides a brief trailer that showcases the announcement of the game. We have tried to identify the character silhouettes that were released as a part of the concept art for the game.
All the characters have appeared in Eric Nylund's novel Halo:The Fall of Reach.
The one in the center can be clearly identified as Master Chief, who was one of the candidates during the Saprtan II program.
The rest of the characters that surround him are in fact shadows of his closest friends who like him fought valiantly during the battle of reach.
The one at the far right is Linda-58 according to Halopedia-
“Petty Officer Second Class Linda-058 is a SPARTAN-II supersoldier.
She is one of the closest friends to John-117 and one of the few known surviving Spartans.
She is best known for her skill with the SRS99-S2 Sniper Rifle Systems.”
The silhouette which is seen holding an object that looks like a knife can be identified as Frederic-104
“Lieutenant, Junior Grade Frederic-104 is a Spartan-II Commando and is one of the few surviving SPARTAN-II.
Historically, Frederic-104 has held the highest rank among any of the active Spartan-IIs,John thought he could have come out on top but didn't like the attention.
He was well known for his abilities with the combat knife.... He has also had a close working relationship with John-117.”
If the image is carefully scrutinized, the spartan on the far left is Samuel, one of the strongest Spartans during the program, there lies an image of a massive turrent or Fougasses( It has Grenades or some other form of propellant in the bottom of it and can be filled with Napalm ("Fire" Fougasses) or spent shell casings and various bits of metal ("Shrapnel" Fougasses).
They can be remote detonated, sending fire and shrapnel upwards, cutting down anything above them for up to several meters.) which were used to destroy covenant banshees during the events that concur with Jericho VII.
“Samuel was considered to be the strongest of the first class of SPARTAN-II's.
According to John-117, had the best eyes and ears of all of his subordinates .
He is also said to be one head taller than John-117 making him the biggest Spartan, and was the fastest to recover from the augmentation.“
The art which stands without any weapons point to Kelly-087 who not only shared a close relationship with our hero Master Chief but also was lightning fast, hence the image does not showcase any weapons.
“Petty Officer Second Class Kelly-087 is one of the few remaining SPARTAN-II super soldiers.
She is well-known due to close friendships with John-117, Linda-058, Frederic-104 and Samuel-034.
Kelly is notoriously fast, even by Spartan standards.
She is the fastest of all the other Spartans, capable of running at bursts of up to 62 KPH (38.502 MPH), has quicker reflexes than all other Spartans and is even capable of accomplishing normal tasks quickly and more precisely than her fellow Spartans.”
All the characters share a special bond with Master Chief which might go to suggest a strong emotional relationship that Master Chief forged and lost among his mates during the first invasion of the Covenant fleet.
The game also points towards another important relationship in the Halo universe-between Master Chief and Cortana who would work to ultimately to finish the fight during the events of Halo 3.

jop, kann nicht sein, demnach müsste Halo ganz umgeschrieben werden, jeder der die geschichte von Onyx las, wird sehn das das nicht geht.
Ein anderer Master Chief mit nahmen Kurt? Nein danke, John ist und bleibt der einzig wahre.
Andererseits hat bungie sich vorgenommen alles an Halo zu verarbeiten, folglich wäre es gar nicht so weit weg diese idee...

Wird komplett eigenständig
In einem interview mit Videogaming 247.com hat Bungies Community-Manager Brian Jarrard einige interessante Details zum kommenden "Halo Reach" bekannt gegeben.
Halo Reach werde definitiv ein Prequel, das zeitlich um einiges vor den bisherigen Halo teilen angesiedelt sein wird.
Man habe zudem nicht vor noch mehr Material in die Halo Trilogie zu pumpen, welche somit mit Reach enden wird.
Es soll aber ein vollkommen eigenständiges Spiel werden, mit neuer Geschichte und zeitlich weit vor der bisherigen Science-Fiction Saga.
Reach soll aber der letzte Höhepunkt von Halo sein, wie man versichert.
Auf der diesjährigen E3 angekündigt soll das Spiel im Herbst 2010 erscheinen.
Zudem wurde eine Multiplayer-Beta angekündigt, für welche jeder Version von ODST ein Download Code beiliegen soll.
