Würden dies vergessen auf meine DVD zu packen- ich würds nicht bemerken!

CoD4, CoD5 und wohl auch CoD6 sind doch rein darauf ausgelegt, sich im MultiPlayer-Modus zu vergnügen. Die Singleplayer-Missionen sind zwar jetzt nicht ganz schlecht, aber für mehr als 1x Durchspielen konnte ich mich bislang nicht hinreißen lassen.

Der Singleplayer von CoD4 war jetzt nicht so schlecht. Aber es gibt bessere Spiele! Bei denen kam es aber auch nicht so auf den Multiplayer an.

Bioshock ist ein Beispiel. Sensationeller Einzelspieler, auf einen Multiplayer
hat man ganz verzichtet

Modern Warfare 2 Takes Inspiration From Hollywood Action Movies




Modern Warfare 2 is moving ever further from the Call of Duty tag.

Whereas the first Modern Warfare featured more realistic military situations, with a Cold War-edge to the proceedings, the sequel has found another solid inspiration: Hollywood.
After going through various pics and the two trailers available online, we found more than just a few references to classic Hollywood action movies.

A burning fortress, in-bound choppers, the open blue sea - even if it weren’t Alcatraz, this sequence bears resemblance to one from the Sean Connery-Nicholas Cage film, The Rock. Counter-Strike: Condition Zero also paid homage with a similar VX gas container design. Infiltrating a prison to halt bio-terrorists?

Hell yeah. But that’s not all.





This seems easier to pin down.
Infinity Ward had previously stated that one of the game’s locations was the Russian mountains (hence all the snow) as you hunt down Makarov, Zakhaev’s old associate (hence all the fighting). Regardless of the locales, the scene bears a strong resemblance to Die Another Day’s prologue.

His cover blown inside a military base, James Bond tries to escape with all measure of gusto.

Explosions? Planes? Enemy soldiers scared out of their wits?

Check, check and check.

The snow-mobile chase seen in the trailer also evokes Die Hard 2 and True Lies deja vu. But that’s not all.
The scenes from 0:09 to 0:11 seconds resemble the airport raids seen in Bad Boys’ climax and Face/Off’s opening sequence. The scene at 0:14 resembles the downed plane (or even the scrap yard) in Con-Air. All together, we count about seven influences. With the official gameplay trailer reveal coming later today at 5.30 EDT at the NBA Eastern Conference finals, we can hardly wait to see the game in action!
