Rumor: New 360 dashboard incoming, First possible images





Could a new 360 dashboard update be coming soon?

Based on a couple new images of the Xbox 360 dashboard, it looks like some cosmetic changes will be coming to the dashboard sometime soon.
Posted in a Kotaku story earlier today, they post images of a newly designed dashboard for the Xbox 360 and the images are based on the new Live Family Plan Microsoft will be introducing for later this year.
The images do look similar to the dashboard setup for Kinect, but there isn't direct mention that it'll solely be for the Kinect interface.
Whether this is for Kinect or a special section for the Family Plan of Live isn't clear at this time.

One image looks like it's designed around the Family controls, but the second image appears to be the normal dashboard with slight changes. This is strictly a rumor until Microsoft makes a direct confirmation.

Soll angeblich ein Fake sein....ich wüsste auch nicht, wozu das gut sein soll. Aber eine Möglichkeit um Gruppen zu verwalten wäre schon schön....:ANYrktrhWORD:

Also ich könnt mir schon vorstellen das es so ausschaut, denk sowieso das Dashboard wird so oder so an Kinect angepasst...
Das mit den Gruppen verwalten gabs ja schon vor 1-2 Jahren das Gerücht und wär mal ne sinnvolle Erweiterung plus grössere Friendslist...

Microsoft preparing 'Avatar Kinect' game for CES Announcement?



While this probably won't do much to satisfy those worrying about Microsoft's shortage of core games for the coming year, it appears that this years CES keynote from the company won't be without gaming announcements.

Specifically, it seems Microsoft is preparing for an announcement of 'Avatar Kinect' if screenshots taken backstage in Vegas are anything to go by.
Nothing else is known regarding the project apart from these two shots we managed to snag from a video walk through from CES.



I doubt that 'Avatar Kinect' will be packaged as a fully fledged game. Instead, I'm betting we'll see this as part of another xbox live update, which we may see announced at CES.

Microsoft's CES keynote takes place this Wednesday at 6:30pm PST. You can watch it live here.

Wir werden das alles eh nie erleben. Dann gibts bestimmt wieder rechtliche Probleme und der Staat hält seine Hand darüber und sagt das das alles verboten is in Deutschland und wir behalten die Xbox aus dem jahre 2010, wobei wir schon in 2020 leben. Mich nervts nur, dass immer Neuerungen kommen, die wir nich bekommen...

Splinter Cell and Prince of Persia HD Remakes Coming to Xbox 360
HD Collections Coming to Xbox 360! [rumor]



360 owners, rejoice! The evidence says, “yes.” Recent ratings found on the official ESRB website seem to suggest two new HD remastered games, that we heard were coming to the PS3, may actually be on the way for Xbox 360 as well.
What am I talking about?

Two Ubisoft series – The Prince of Persia HD Collection and Splinter Cell HD Collection.
The PlayStation 3 led the way for HD remastered classics with the successful launch of PS2 collections such as: the Sly collection, the God of War collection, and other highly anticipated collections announced like ICO and Shadow of the Colossus, Tomb Raider collection, and as mentioned above the Prince of Persia (Blu-ray version; PSN already available), and Splinter Cell collection to name a few.
Now it looks like it’s the 360′s turn to join in on some of that success.

Take a look at these screens taken from the ESRB wesbite:




Both screens show the ratings for HD versions of the following games for not only the PS3 but also Xbox 360:

• Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones HD – Mature
• Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time HD – Teen
• Prince of Persia: The Warrior Within HD – Mature
• Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell HD – Teen
• Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell: Chas Theory HD – Mature
• Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow HD – Teen

We have no information on if this will be made available via physical disc media or digital download, nor do we have official confirmation from Ubisoft or Microsoft (yet).
Either way, if this proves to be true, this is a win situation for 360 fans who have been calling for HD remakes of games and do not own a PS3.
The collections will join the ranks of other HD remake titles coming to the 360 such as Beyond Good and Evil (also coming to PSN) and Halo: Combat Evolved.
